Libertarians are so fucking delusional.
I don't understand how some of them acquire advanced degrees.
How vain is Mortals Happiness!
Had they but known the Bounds of Bliss;
And, that Perfection here below
Is more, than Gods can well bestow,
The grumbling Brutes had been content
With Ministers and Government.
But they, at every ill Success,
Like Creatures lost without Redress,
Cursed Politicians, Armies, Fleets;
Whilst every one cry'd, Damn the Cheats,
And would, tho' Conscious of his own,
In Others barb'rously bear none.
One, that had got a Princely Store,
By cheating Master, King, and Poor,
Dared cry aloud; The Land must sink
For all its Fraud; And whom d'ye think
The Sermonizing Rascal chid?
A Glover that sold Lamb for Kid...

So hey, wage is a measure of your productivity? Women must be about 80% as productive as men in comparable positions. We gotta ask ourselves then, guys, why are women so much less productive than men? Also, what is it about wealthy parents that make their children so productive? Is there a productivity gene?
Maybe we shouldn't tie a person's ability to get food and shelter to their ability to serve the desires of the already well-off hiring class.
Also how do you get a PhD in economics without being familiar with the concept of a living wage
The same way you get a degree in biology without being familiar with the thimerosal/autism claims.
Women are less productive then men because of maternity care. It makes sense to pay women 80% of what men make because women will take more time off for women's health reasons and maternity care.
Another myth is that they have less experience in the same positions, being newer to the workforce, so deserve less money.
Women are given the blame for wanting to balance career and job. They won't necessarily want to leave their jobs to take care of kids, however, but the burden of home childcare falls overall on the woman. Conservatives, being at their core a pro-family, traditional values kind of lot, see it as a good thing that women will be leaving their jobs to come home. The housewife is a noble institution that the secular liberal has demolished with their cynicism and heathenism (actually, I agree, but that has nothing to do with equal pay).
In many countries, this little problem was solved with mandated, paid leave, in virtually every branch of the economy. Men are given equal leave, which makes the notion of raising a family equally appealing. Simply put, businesses pay a family tax. What about the poor individuals who don't want to start families? Shouldn't businesses have the right to hire people who don't care about their families?
Yes, they can, and do, which is part of why free market capitalism and family values are usually at odds with one another.

So he's saying humans no have value besides what they can produce. How ethical.
It's a pretty common, unexamined assumption on the left, too. Well, the parts of the left that get attention and political power, at any rate.

I don't know how anyone can look at the economics of society at any time in any location and assume that, given the opportunity to seek employment elsewhere, wages will rise to the point that marginal productivity will shrink to just below zero. That is insane and has never been even close to true. As a testable hypothesis, that needs to be thrown out by anyone that wants to style themselves as the slightest bit scientific.
Just above zero, I should say.

I want to -1 for 'white people' tag, but I can't think of any right-libertarians I know who aren't white.
