I remember playing this, it was not terrible but I think I played it right after Monkey Island so it seemed short and a little too easy. Like that fox guy's girlfriend.

I think there was supposed to be a sequel or something.

Yeah, I had this too. Because of Heroes of Might and Magic I tried to pick up as many games with the New World games as possible, but HoM&M was kind of a diamond in the rough. It was fun and I liked the world, and I was so proud of my new Soundblaster that I wanted to make it speak as much as possible, but it was definitely no Monkey Island.

The game was a commercial failure and so they couldn't get funding to make the sequel. Eventually they started a webcomic to tell the stories they had written for it. It is still running, as I discovered yesterday.
