The She-Creature costume got reused in several films (sometimes with different heads), which almost certainly contributed to its disintegration.
If you noticed how in "It! The Terror From Beyond Space" how the monster seemed to have its tongue jutting out of its mouth... that's the actor's chin. Blaisell had sculpted the mask off a cast of his own head, but the fellow who actually ended up in the suit was much larger. With no time and budget, Blaisdell just painted the guy's chin.
The "Beulah" critter apparently had very articulate arms that could even pick up a handkerchief. Too bad someone ran a camera cart over them on the set-- and once again, with no time and no budget they couldn't be fixed, so they just wave around in the final film.
