EvilHomer - 2016-09-30 Only because there's enough competing information online that people can fact-check and become exposed to new ideas. If the BBC controlled the internet, or worse, if the Google-Twitter-Facebook machine set their mind on perpetuating such a hoax, modern audiences could well be fooled.
Sadly, education has yet to catch up to our technology, and for all the wealth of knowledge available to us now, critical thinking amongst the public remains depressingly low.
