Not shocked by Ms. Reynolds' death, but I had no idea she'd voiced Charlotte.

Same here. Aw, this part was such a tear jerker. This movie was awesome.

This part always bummed me out as a kid, especially the part immediately after where all her new born babies fly away as Wilbur begs them not to go.

Of course, it's bumming me out all over again right now for a whole new reason.

This traumatized me more than the deaths of Bambi's mom and Old Yeller combined.

Goodbye, Ms. Reynolds.

If 2016 really focuses over the next 2 and a half days we might see a front page that is 100% celebrity death related submissions.

It could happen.

Somehow I don't feel so bad about this one -- if I had a kid and she died unexpectedly, I think I'd be ready to hang it up on this side. I'll hope there's an afterlife where Debbie and Carrie can be together again, but if there's nothing but oblivion, well, I can see Debbie being okay with that too.

In other news, one day short of a decade ago ...

My teacher in 2nd grade had us read/watch Charlotte's Web, and introduced us to Spider care in the process: Our classroom must've had over 100 BIG spiders all over it, crawling down our necks during "Heads Up 7 Up" and dropping from the ceiling on our textbooks. 25 years later and I'm not sure if it made me more afraid of spiders today or less..

Rewatched postcards from the edge today in both of their honour, it was a good call.
