StanleyPain For those unaware, Valve recently announced Greenlight will be shutting down in a few months to be replaced by a new indie games program (Steam Direct) that doesn't seem to address anything whatsoever about what was wrong with Greenlight and Early Access quality control.
Scrimmjob That's too bad, Greenlight was pretty much broken right out of the gate, but some really good stuff did make it through. I'm interested to see what this new system is like.
badideasinaction The new system assumes shovelware makers won't pony up a few hundred bucks to put stuff on Steam. In other words, it'll probably be the same as Greenlight, only Steam gets to make money up front on it.
