5 stars for the 'not that julie brown' tag.

Oh I yeah. I totally forgot about *this* Julie Brown. Obvs Downtown Julie Brown is the memorable one.

snothouse - 2020-10-23

This would be the "better" Julie Brown

Old_Zircon - 2020-10-24

The other Julie Brown was on MTV or something, right?

simon666 - 2020-10-24

I think both Julie Browns were on MTV, but I don't know if at the same time or not.

Downtown Julie Brown was a VJ until she was relegated to hosting whatever MTV's dance-party show was called. She appeared on the scene quite a while after waifu Julie Brown here enchanted this listener's ears with Dr Demento's help (a fraught ditty about a certain homecoming queen). This Julie Brown is funny, Downtown Julie Brown is hip.

Back when I watched MTV for like 9 hours a day, I knew that knowing there were two people named Julie Brown would come in handy someday.

Philosophy of lang/linguistic trivia: my use of a plural "Julia Browns" in my above comment functions (I think) as a predicate rather than directly referential name!

I am a fan of both Julie Browns. Ms. "Downtown" Julie Brown was also featured in the live action Fist of the Northstar. The julie brown featured in this clip also had her own dedicated comedy show "Just Say Julie"

I don't know who this woman is, but this looks sort of entertaining.. And in this age of Corona, that's enough

Scrimmjob - 2020-10-23

I mostly know her from the opening to rhino vhs tapes, for her "the prom queens got a gun" video.

Hazelnut - 2020-10-24

She was also in “Earth Girls Are Easy”

Hegemony Cricket - 2020-10-25

She cowrote and produced "Earth Girls are Easy" based on a song from the same novelty record she made that gave us "Homecoming Queen has got a Gun"

She peaked after a pretty terrible network sketch comedy show in 90 or so and her whole Medusa/Madonna parody,

Nascent furries discovered themselves with her Minerva Mink and BTAS fans probably felt something down there for her as Zatanna.

Lastly, the episode above was directed by "Peter Bonerz" .
