Stopheles This movie should be a LOT better known than it is. The scene with the French teacher blew me away.
infinite zest Yeah. if I recall it came out around the same time as Hollywood was finally mastering CGI explosions, which meant the end of the world in those days involved a lot of booms and shit barely audible over the Aerosmith soundtrack. I saw this in the one theatre in the USA that apparently had it when I was like 15 and I liked a lot more, and in a way that informed the sort of movie that I'd gravitate to 20 years later. However, I think it also made 'Melancholia' a tolerable moviegoing experience.. :)
