There's never a politician pure enough for the Nazi shitheads.
It was all down hill for bush's Nazi approval numbers when he told people not to hate muslims after 9/11
Lets be realistic. If you blanked out hitlers name and well known deeds and presented his history to the Nazi troglodytes, they'd find something to nitpick.
That's the problem with ideological purity, no one is ever pure enough.
Yeah, by most primary-source, non-nazi accounts I've read a whole lot of day-to-day, apolitical nazi party members (which was the vast majority of them, if you didn't join the party you were pretty much consigning yourself to social ostracism and loss of employment options at the very minimum) thought Hitler was kind of a buffoon in a lot of ways but he was their leader and he gave them jobs so they put up with the rest of it.
Anyhow, by far the best exploration of that aspect of it I've encountered so far is They Thought They Were Free by Milton Mayer, which I can't hank Exy enough for recommending.
This guy isn't one of those, though. This guy is pretty much exactly the person SolRo is describing above.
