It disturbs me that so many conservatives consider waterboarding so tame that it can be done on a dare.
But at least this guy put his money where his mouth is, and seemed to learn a good lesson.

Cena_mark - 2009-05-23

It sucks, but do terrorists deserve any better? Getting flogged sucks, and I'd recommend that for terrorists as well. It is an enhanced interrogation technique it is meant to cause discomfort for the victim and it should be allowed to continue to save American lives.

CornOnTheCabre - 2009-05-23

"an enhanced interrogation technique it is meant to cause discomfort for the victim." Would you just say torture already, you fucking pussy?

Bort - 2009-05-23

The one thing I can say in their defense is, it SOUNDS like it shouldn't be a big thing, having someone pour water in your nose and mouth. Of course, when experts have been saying for decades that this is torture, and the opposing viewpoint comes from douchebags like Rush Limbaugh, it's not hard to guess who's talking out their asses.

That said, for all the bluster about "how bad could it be?", there seem to be damn few people willing to find out. So yeah, deep down they kind of know it's torture.

baleen - 2009-05-23

"Cena_mark
It sucks, but do terrorists deserve any better?"

Cena, you are not a libertarian.
In fact, you are one of the stupidest people to ever become a regular of this website.

Modern Angel - 2009-05-23

You mean there's a thing where the PoE network attracts fake libertarians?

baleen - 2009-05-23

He currently trends to separate himself from the disgrace of the GOP by proclaiming that he is a "Libertarian," which I find completely laughable because he has absolutely no idea what they represent, even in their newest paleoconservative incarnation.

Witty_Pop_Culture_Reference - 2009-05-23

Let's give Cena Mark a fair chance here. I'm quite positive he is in no way advocating allowing the government to classify people for no reason as terrorists when it simply suits their aims. Think of the can of worms that would open when the socialists in power want to take away the Michigan Militia's guns.

So, I'm positive he means by terrorist, someone who has been tried and convited of a crime relating to terrorism, or an act of terrorism. He's not foolish enough to give the commies in power the ability to label hima terrorist just because he loves freedom.

However, would this not then mean that until such point, no person could be a terrorist UNTIL tried and convicted, and thus any waterboarding that goes on before those convictions is being done to people SUSPECTED of crimes and not, by definition terrorists?

Because I'm certain no one advocates torture for suspects that haven't even been convicted by rule of law... that would just get you laughed at.

Then again torturing becomes kind of a waste of time after they've already been convicted, so it seems useless altogether. Even disregarding that the people at the top are saying left and right it didn't help a bit.

Toenails - 2009-05-23

inb4 Cena responds to "gayleen", "Shitty Poop Cunt-ure Refermadness", "PorninthePadre", and uh... "Dort"??

Damn, there has to be a good one for Bort.

OxygenThief - 2009-05-23

aBORTion loving socialist

Modern Angel - 2009-05-23

No, I get what he's doing assuming we take him at face value. I'm saying he's Ryo Cokey in facepaint.

heyitslozeau - 2009-05-22

this was great, especially since they didnt even fully do it. you usually have a wet rag in your mouth.

Udderdude - 2009-05-23

Yeah, I demand another session. And have it take place in a dark cell in a shitty prison, for good measure.

kamlem - 2009-05-23

Also, have him sign a contract for 3 sessions with the only getout clause being a signature on a legal document admitting to the Bali bombings.

Witty_Pop_Culture_Reference - 2009-05-23

I think that's a little unfair. They should be waterboarding this guy 180+ times in the space of 30 days, like they did to folks at G.Bay.

If you can find me any republican who can withstand 180 plus waterboardings in under 30 days and not offer to kill their own children to make it stop by about a week in, I'll eat my hat and join the Republican party.

The real issue is that people don't realize the right wing is forcing the controversy, just like the creationists do, because at the core of their stance they have no foundation to justify what they are doing, and I mean on more than just interrogation. As long as they can create fake debates over things the rest of the world has cut and dry answers for generations, they create an illusion that there are two sides to the issue.

It provides a buffer that keeps people from focusing on the fact that they are the worst humanity has to offer and the rest of us would kick their asses off the planet if we didn't get caught up in the debate and just saw them for what they are and what they want to do.

Hugo Gorilla - 2009-05-22

Mancow survived. Two stars off.

revdrew - 2009-05-22

Remember when I said I'd waterboard you last?

nocash - 2009-05-22

Fuck that white trash peesashit

Lauritz Melchior - 2009-05-22

Perhaps there is hope that a video of Dick Cheney being water boarded will one day grace us.

revdrew - 2009-05-22

And gives him a heart attack. I'd die a happy, happy man.

zatojones - 2009-05-23

silly person. Duck Cheney has no heart

jangbones - 2009-05-22

give the prick credit

now Mancow laughs at Hannity

MANCOW

revdrew - 2009-05-22

His name sound likes a really lame Tick supervillain for christ's sake!

socialist_hentai - 2009-05-23

there are no lame Tick supervillans!

zatojones - 2009-05-23

the one whose superpower was that he was holding a grenade was pretty lame. effective, but lame

Cleaner82 - 2009-05-22

More of this please.

Waterboardings all round.

Cleaner82 - 2009-05-23

Meh, too glib. Guy has balls, clearly the whole idea scared him -- as it should. But he felt he should know what it is he was endorsing -- as he should. And now, whether he still endorses it or not, at least he understands the gravity of the technique. I wouldn't even mind a bunch of people who felt it was sometimes nessecary for the government to torture, we would just agree to disagree -- if they weren't so goddamn gleefully flippant about the prospect.

Now all of a sudden it's serious. Good.

thebaronsdoctor - 2009-05-23

I will give the Cow Man credit for actually going through with it.

I wouldn't have.

Syd Midnight - 2009-05-23

I'd have goner through with it, but I don't think I'd handle being proven wrong as gracefully as he does.

citrusmirakel - 2009-05-23

Question here:

Does Mancow support the death penalty? Cause, I mean, it seems only fair.

Enjoy - 2009-05-23

So this is waterboarding? I'm so trying this in the tub tonight. I can just self-waterboard, right?

Cleaner82 - 2009-05-23

By all means! But set up a camera please.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-05-23

Offer the chance to your family to help. I'm sure they'll jump at the chance.

zatojones - 2009-05-23

actually it's not. usually you have a wet rag or hood covering your face so that even if nothing is being directly poured onto your mouth and nose it still feels like there's water entering your lungs. also you're strapped or forcibly held down so that if you try and move or get up you can't which only heightens the sensation and forces your instinctive drowning response into overdrive.

in other words, it's nothing like sticking your own face under the bathtub tap for a few seconds, you chickenhawk motherfucker, and this Mancow person, who until five seconds into his torture was with you all the way, is telling you that right here.

Toenails - 2009-05-23

Shut the fuck up zato and just let Enjoy drown himself in the bathtub already!!!

Seconding the webcam idea.

Cleaner82 - 2009-05-23

I was just operating on the assumption that Enjoy attempting to waterboard himself would be worth watching. Which I still believe.

rustedmutt - 2009-05-23

Minus two stars because they stopped before he aspirated.

garcet71283 - 2009-05-23

Some people pay good money for this...

ProfessorChaos - 2009-05-23

I give this guy credit for being daring enough to change his mind in front of an audience.

Desidiosus - 2009-05-23

I do believe him, that he actually was afraid he'd drown in those few seconds. Conservatives are very flippant about this procedure because it just doesn't sound that bad, but the ones who've actually experienced it, like Hitchens and this piece of trash, found out otherwise.

Hegemony Cricket - 2009-05-23

Hitchens isn't a conservative, he's an alcoholic.

He just found it far easier to earn quality whiskey money by being the biggest contrarian provocateur you ever did read.

Like a sweaty, awkwardly balding, ruddy, flesh-haloed version of Coulter.

phalsebob - 2009-05-23

Mancow's Mancave? Mancave? Really? I take it he's not one of those fabled Goldwater conservatives then. Grow up, fucktard.

chumbucket - 2009-05-23

From Teabagging Parties to Waterboarding Parties...Circle Jerk next?

memedumpster - 2009-05-23

More, please.

dorje - 2009-05-23

Minus two because of his childhood trauma. This creates an easy out - "of course his case is different." Such a person is not a good litmus test for the idiots.

simon666 - 2009-05-23

Decent point. The Hitchens' waterboarding is a better argument than Mancow's, and more legit.

KnowFuture - 2009-05-23

One of a vast shitwave of Howard Stern ripoffs.

kwash - 2009-12-05

Yeah and he's getting waterboarded, what's the issue here?

Hooper_X - 2009-06-04

I, personally, support a campaign to waterboard each and every morning drive shock-jock moron.

Once we're done with that, we're attaching the balls of various and sundry AM Mayhem Morning Zoo Wake-Up Crews to car batteries.
