Bort - 2017-12-14
Don't make like Ajit Pai is the enemy here; you fuckers are the ones who let Trump and friends into office. You had a chance to stop this last year. You opted not to.

Mister Yuck - 2017-12-14 You're insufferable. I really hope you don't act like this outside this website. You wanna heal a divided democratic party after a fucked up primary and a devastating election? Or do you wanna win a petty blame game. Cause you're gonna do neither. Move on.

namtar - 2017-12-14 Who are you ranting about, Bort? Does the entirety of Poetv live in swing states and did they all vote for someone not Hillary?
Your enemies aren’t these windmills you’re jousting with.
And honestly, if you think you’re helping your cause, you’re not.

BHWW - 2017-12-14 MOOOOOOOM! Bort's being a screechy man-child again!

Mister Yuck - 2017-12-14 For the record, I'm a Democrat. I voted for Hilary, I phonebanked for Hilary. I defend her constantly in conversation and I thought she would have made a good president. But she lost, and she is not running in 2018, so endlessly analyzing her and her campaign is a waste of time. Insulting people who didn't vote for her is worse than a waste of time. It does not change people's opinions, it hardens them. And it associates my party, liberals, and Hilary Clinton supporters with assholes, like Bort, who call people fuckers for making a different decision at the ballot box than him. So I get to spend more of my time explaining that yeah, I'm a liberal, no I'm not a preachy fuck, and less time explaining that liberals have some good ideas, maybe you could get on board with us?

Mister Yuck - 2017-12-14 And I misspelled Hillary's name three times!
|
Cena_mark - 2017-12-14 The DNC allowed Trump to win by sabotaging Bernie. Bernie would have won.

Bort - 2017-12-15 "Insulting people who didn't vote for her is worse than a waste of time. It does not change people's opinions, it hardens them."
Yeah, I remember disgruntled_goat used to argue the same thing on Poe-News back in the early 2000s: if people vote Republican it must be because people like me say mean things to them. Which might have been the case if people weren't voting dogshit stupid first, and me calling them stupid afterwards.
"assholes, like Bort, who call people fuckers for making a different decision at the ballot box than him"
I am calling them fuckers for voting in a way that let Trump into office, with full knowledge of how unfit for office he was. The best case scenario with Trump was that he was going to be COMPETENT at selling the country off to the highest bidder. We didn't even get that.
We all knew Trump would be a disaster. A lot of people here were okay with letting him into office anyway. If you want to make the case they were smart to do so, let's hear it.
"so endlessly analyzing her and her campaign is a waste of time"
It's not about 2016; it's about 2010, 2014, and 2016. Lefties keep sitting out elections and handing more and more of the government to the Republicans, then blame the Democrats for being unable to stop them. If the Left were showing any signs whatsoever of learning from their mistakes, that'd be one thing. But they are not, and left to their own devices, they'll pat themselves on the back for their Steintard votes, or for staying home. I call bullshit, and so should you.

BHWW - 2017-12-15 This just in from the Bort News Network, late breaking bulletin. In a public statement, Bort said: EVERYBODY IS DUMB EXCEPT FOR ME. Then he began sobbing like toddler in the midst of a tantrum and he followed this up by wetting himself.

Nominal - 2017-12-15 There was a definite "Let the world burn with Trump if Bernie doesn't get the nomination" attitude.
It's the electorate equivalent of the evangelicals who want armageddon to happen in the Middle East so they'll finally get the rapture.

Mister Yuck - 2017-12-15 Thanks Meme, that was very eloquent.

Nominal - 2017-12-16 Here's a good 8 minute breakdown how protest voting for Stein was luxury vanity move.

|
Nominal - 2017-12-16 It's a matter of asking, "What is going to happen if I protest vote by abstaining for voting for Stein?"
Trump gets elected is what happens. The only way a protest voter could possibly justify that being worth it is if they honestly think that the "message" that sends to the Democratic part is going to produce positive results, and the worth of those results being bigger than the giant gap between the damage Trump does and what Clinton could have accomplished.
And believing that to be true puts someone in exactly the same bracket as rapture cultists.
