Nominal - 2020-09-01 I tried the original Xenoblade Chronicles after hearing so much hype over it.
I've never experienced such a huge gap between praise and actual quality before. Every single thing about it made you ask, "Did adults work on this?"
The music, the combat, the dialog, the voice acting, the characters, the plot, all dog shit. Even fans of the game admit that the beginning is boring as shit dull convoluted tutorials, but "it really picks up after 30 hours!"
I think it was just Wii owners so desperate for their own exclusive RPG that they hail any as the greatest thing ever. Eternal Darkness syndrome.
