Move on or just make MST3K again!!

Lothy - 2008-01-05

I agree with you, and yet I laughed and will no doubt watch it and enjoy it.

hornung - 2008-01-05

i know i'll lose my nerd cred, but this gimmick hasn't aged well.

honestly this seems like it has more potential than rifftrax, if for mo other reason than because it's bad movies again, instead of mediocre hollywood movies.

and c'mon guys, a midget looks in a steamer trunk and they joke that it's his apartment. that's just good comedy

themilkshark - 2008-01-05

I prefer Mike Nelson's superior riffing. I still eat all of these things up.

garcet71283 - 2008-01-05

Dammit. I like it, but seriously, just get Joel Hodgson, Mike Nelson, Bill Corbitt and Kevin Murphy on the SAME SHOW ALREADY.

Hooper_X - 2008-01-06

That'd mainly be hard to do because the Rifftrax crew all still live in the midwest, and the CT crew all live in L.A. now. Or so I understand. (Also, someone else entirely owns all the MST3K trademarks, etc. hence the gadding about with other concepts.)

Aelric - 2008-01-06

mike nelson moved to L.A. to do riftrax, but kevin murphy and bill corbett still living in the mid-west. at the very least, mike could guest on CT or joel on rifftrax. i mean, mary-jo pehl did a rifftrax and is now in CT, so the connection is there.

my guess is that it's in the works for a guest spot on way or the other.

oh, and the MST3K rights are still owned by best brains a.k.a. jim mallon, who is currently raping the corpse with his awful tom and crow cartoon.

DrVital - 2008-01-06

I've ordered my copy!

I'm actually looking forward to this. Joel has a good shtick with his TV prop comedy, and I personally am loving the fact that I'm living in a world where the can be both Cinematic Titanic and Rifftrax.

Lothy - 2008-01-06

Also, I look forward to the "Who is better, Joel or Mike?" discussions being brought into the 21st Century by being turned into "Which is better, Cinematic Titanic or Film Crew?"

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-01-06

Like my dad and I always said, MST3K could've gone on forever and never run out of material or steam.

Chalkdust - 2008-01-07

This one has Frank and Trace Beaulieu! And a cool theme song! Plus, the definitive aspect of the old MST3k which was not so much the joking on bad movies, but bringing these otherwise forgotten pieces of drek into the public consciousness, which Rifftrax unfortunately is not as able of doing.

They're both welcome in my home, that being said.
