Merzbau - 2008-04-12
To try and explain how the fuck I found this: it was a "related link" I found while searching for info on "Kaiba," a weird new Astro Boy-looking show from the director of Mindgame. Submitting what I found next, because it's neat, but for future reference once these two are off the frontpage:

That is what anime that does not make me want to scrub my frontal lobe with Ajax looks like.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-04-12
This is actually a pretty funny clip, but it's too bad it had to be submitted by someone who did so just to make a big deal of whining about it.
|
Pangalin - 2008-04-12 So I am thinking the principle of allowing some people to bypass the hopper needs to be re-evaluated
RANDOM ANIME CLIP! WHAT THE FUCK JAPAN! AM I RIGHT PEOPLE
|
Merzbau - 2008-04-12 Ok, yes: poorly judged submissions. Vote 'em down, that's what the ratings are for. Clearly what seemed like a good idea at 4 in the morning may not have actually been one.

baleen - 2008-04-12
1 star for crappy submission, +1 star for Merzbau.

SenilePlacebo - 2008-04-12
Fuck the politics, the clip is funny.
|
|
SenilePlacebo - 2008-04-12 Uh huh... the flaming Italian booby groper dying of a lightning attack.
and the duck in a single-piece pajama thing, but what really did it for me was the robot boy/girl trying to dance along.

Gwago - 2008-04-12
Triangular boobs. That feel like they're filled with sand.
|
NoCode - 2008-04-12 Rocket-boing!
|
HURF BLURF DUH - 2008-04-16 I don't know what a "rocket-boing" is, but I wouldn't mind seeing a pair of boobs do it so I could evaluate for myself.

Xenocide - 2008-04-12
Half the videos on Poetv could be titled "What the Hell is Wrong With Japan." This is nowhere near the worst of them.

chumbucket - 2008-04-12
more of the dancing fool! more!

revdrew - 2008-04-12

This is awesome regardless of motive.

andru strange - 2008-04-12
sorry.
|
HURF BLURF DUH - 2008-04-12
So we're supposed to be all "omg fuck japan" about this? Sorry, I for one think it's pretty damn funny.
|
UnderANeonHalo - 2008-04-12
I watched this a few times on cartoon network, because I was bored and had the day off, and it was kinda funny. Of course I saw this episode with the kid friendly censorship and now seeing the full scene makes it pretty damn funny. It's called "zatchbell" or something like that.

Well, sometimes Japan is hit or miss.
And this was sometimes hit or miss.
Therefore...

Syd Midnight - 2008-04-14 On one hand, this is almost everything I despise about anime in concentrated form. On the other hand, even I can tell it was written tongue-in-cheek. Not good enough to laud, but not bad enough to hate.
I like to imagine the series is about a young hipster who travels the world, using his harnessed contempt to psychically blast shallow, sex-obsessed pop stars in front of their squealing fans.
|
NoCode - 2008-04-12
What the fuck?
|
Unmerciful Crushing Force - 2008-04-12
I lost it at the backup singers saying "BOING BOING"
I too vote for fuck the politics.
|
ProfessorChaos - 2008-04-12
I wonder what the toonami "fit for kid's television" dub of this scene was.
|
UnderANeonHalo - 2008-04-12 found it!

|
Lorenzo - 2008-04-13 This clip is stupid, boring and unfunny.
But the English dub makes the most excellent comparison of Japanese vs. North American culture I have seen in a while.
Plus, the duckboy thing is doing the 'hitler heil' at the end of the clip.

Cinnamon Imperialist - 2008-04-13
