badideasinaction The one thing I remember from the moustached Inspector Gadget was that he was slightly less oblivious than the clean-shaven one. Like was actually able to recognize an obviously disguised bomb or something in an episode I saw. Only remember one ep like that though, and apparently it was significant enough that, 20 years later, it still sticks out.
And wow, the wikipedia page for the show is great - it practically gives a flowchart for the entire show. Go go Gadget obsessive fandom...

Unmerciful Crushing Force Hell, even in the intro, he just seems to be far more hardcore. Like actually doing shit.
Of course, I think that the creators realized that the only way it could end with the mustached version is Gadget breaking into MAD's headquarters, planting radio-controlled mines around the complex and then go-go-gadget-headcapping Dr. Claw.

I looked online and found out what Dr. Claw actually looked like. Don't make that mistake as it's anticlimactic as all hell. Your imagination is much better than his character design.
