This is the worst thing about Texas politicians. Not the racism, the backward fundamentalism, the sickening croneyism. This. This crazy that brings down all of us who get out. Goddammit.

The problem with a lot of parts in Texas is that some districts are so low in population that you only need a few church-fulls of people to win a vote, and they just pick the most christianist.
