lol america

William Burns - 2009-08-30

"Falling apart" looks remarkably similar to "what they've been doing for the last several months and has been working."

Camonk - 2009-08-31

They did the same shit when they were in power. They've done this for decades. Lie to gullible people to get them to vote against their self-interest is basically the southern strategy.

I've heard a lot of optimists crowing about this being the death of the Republican party--this being the election, or maybe it was the mid-terms in 2006. Either way, they're too bitter and mean and evil to go away.

Louis Armstrong - 2009-08-31

Cena's world view:

Rachael Maddow=dude

Ann Coulter= hot+smart+classy(fap,fap,fap)

Aelric - 2009-08-30

My crush deepens.

Cena_mark - 2009-08-30

So you're gay?!!?

Meerkat - 2009-08-30

I'm totally a lesbian for Rachel.

simon666 - 2009-08-31

Why does one must be a lesbian to be attracted to a lesbian?

HankFinch - 2009-08-31

its in the bible

Aelric - 2009-08-31

I like girls who look like boys. Umm, I think I'm weird.

Cena_mark - 2009-08-31

She doesn't just look like a dude. She is a dude. But that's not why I hate her/him. Its that she/he spouts all this ridiculous, ignorant, shit.

Aelric - 2009-08-31

You know, I sometimes think of bothering to reply to you in the same way others do, cena, but then I remember this is a joke site for funny videos and I just go watch another. I will say that I'm glad I got a better sense of humor than you seem to, unless you really are just some troll, in which case I kinda admire the fact you stay in character all the time. It's a good joke. Go on. Joke some more.

HarrietTubmanPI - 2009-08-31

You're right Cena. How dare she use facts, video, citations to support her point. She works hard and is happy - don't you conservatives support hard work and happiness?

Oh wait, only if she's straight. Got it.

Randroid - 2009-08-30

Not to mention the risk of infection waiting three days in line at a run-down socialist clinic with all the aids homos and abortion whores.

Xenocide - 2009-08-30

"Ma'am, you need a liver transplant immediately or you'll die. However, my records show you voted for Dole back in '96. So we're giving your new liver to a cow. The cow will then be slaughtered, simply to spite you."

teethsalad - 2009-08-30

now, if facts only mattered in this country's opinion-making process, we'd be in decent shape

Nikon - 2009-08-30

When I heard Steele talk just then, it felt like my brain partially consumed itself, shat that part out, and then re-ingested it.

God damn it. I hope these assholes don't keep us from getting health care reform.

theSnake - 2009-08-30

lol we're all gonna die

Cena_mark - 2009-08-30

Actually the Republicans will be super motivated and organized for 2010. We will take the midterm elections.

Vaidency - 2009-08-30

Yes, with the visionary leadership of Steele I don't see what could possibly go wrong for the Republicans in 2010.

Cena_mark - 2009-08-30

It has nothing to do with Steele. If any black man will motivate the Republicans into action its Barack Hussien Obama.

Desidiosus - 2009-08-30

Yeah, I can't wait to see the party platform. "ZOMG SOCIALISTS BLACKS GAYS DEATH PANELS"

Then again, they've been using that since 1994, so no big deal.

Witty_Pop_Culture_Reference - 2009-08-30

No you won't. The republicans are a rapidly shrinking minority that subsists on the insane illusion that their are far more of them than there actually are any more, and the real numbers are dwindling as the sane rats look around the sinking ship, realise the remaining occupants are abso-fucking-lutely crazy, and abandon the metaphorical trainwreck that is your ever alienating policy, desperation, and cognitive disconnect.

No, you won't. In right wing crazy land, three teabaggers is a forceful majority; a sign the people want change; a grassroots uprising. Ten thousand protestors across the a country of 350 million translates into hundreds of millions of people rioting in the streets against the evil socialist commies in government when filtered through the conservative spin machine, ignoring that I've never seen an American conservative that actually knows and understands what Communism is and what tenets it requires to fulfill the ideology, or how socialism is vastly different and has a massive range of variants, from libertarian to totalitarian, those dichotomous opposites forming completely different social structures.

No, you won't. Let it be clear; you are the fascists. You are the national socialists, even though you have no idea what national socialism is. Mindless patriotism, the desire to see an authoritarian government quell the rights of any who oppose you, the full on hatred and vehement lust to see those who stand against you suffer and be repressed. Your ideology is based on lack of education, lack of critical analysis skills, lack of humanity, and with each passing generation your masters- who couldn't care less about you- need to reign in your social system even harder just to keep your falling numbers from bankrupting their coffers in a single electoral term. With the advent of global intelligence, with the advent of accessible information and the tools for free self education, conservatism dies a little more each day- because it is, in whole, ignorance.

No, you won't. Based purely on fallacious, childish logic; based purely on false truths that the individual is taught to deconstruct in the most rudimentary and elementary of logic and critical analysis courses, your ideology needs people who lack education; people of a culture where less than 10% holds a passport, a culture where over 100 million of the populace is overweight and half of that well into obesity, but the rates of illiteracy and infant mortality are higher than Cuba's. A culture where the news organization you see as telling you the unbiased truth cannot even properly place other countries on a map for you to learn where they are.

No, you won't, in 2010. You won't, because even with all of that, your ideology is more and more being exposed for the simple, xenophobic, unthinking, hateful and shameful creeds it espouses. Every day people are seeing the lies for what they are, ever day people are realising that in any other educated society the fans of the American right wing are nothing more than sad and pathetic, to be both laughed at and ashamed of, and only to be feared when, like any mob of mindless cowards, it amasses and faces a severely outnumbered and defenseless individual.

And as more and people see through the lies being promoted that your numbers are greater than they actually are, when clear and consistent intelligence and logic shows that only the last dying grasps of a collapsing ideology are reduced to the ridiculous antics that have become the commonplace in the Republican theatre, and that, more than anything tells the truth about how weak and growing weaker, effete and soon to be null- soon to see humanity evolve past and look back on yours as primitive, simple and unthinking animals- remember, that as the shrieks grow more shrill, as the eyes of your leaders grow wilder, as the frothing at the mouth and constant attacks from a dying party grow more hateful and vicious, fight like a whining, spoiled child all you want, but-

No, you won't.

Cena_mark - 2009-08-30

Yes but Republicans held the house and senate from 94-06 on that. So they'll do it again.

Hooper_X - 2009-08-30

You just wasted way way too much bandwidth on Cena_Mark, dude.

Louis Armstrong - 2009-08-30

Wow. SUPER MOTIVATED!!! I just had an image of you that was very Chris Chanesque screaming this aloud into a video camera. Just having trouble pictureing your medallion.

Stog - 2009-08-30

Cena, the only way the Republicans will get back to power at this point is if their stupid faux-Libertarian conservative buddies grow some balls and commit to their stupid little revolution they're so gung ho about.

Really. That will happen!

Cena_mark - 2009-08-30

He wasted away too much bandwidth on Democrat lies and propaganda. Seriously We're the national socialists?!!! Yeah lets play call your opponents Nazis.
Republicans claimed liberalism died in 94 was of course wrong, so for you to claim that conservativism is dead is dead wrong. The sleeping giant is stirring, in 2010 he will eat you.

Stog - 2009-08-30

What giant?

Louis Armstrong - 2009-08-30

Witty_Pop_Culture_Reference, I like how you channeled some of Obama's oratory skill for your post. My stars go to this.

Desidiosus - 2009-08-30

You're right in that they did hold the House for twelve years, but they got in back in '94 by articulating a philosophy, even if it was just "say no to Clinton" and by making it palatable to independents.

That's not happening now. They're still following the 9/11 concept of trying to scare the shit out of people. That won't translate into a win.

StanleyPain - 2009-08-30

Stars for Maddow and Witty Pop Culture Reference's longpost, even though cena-mark is just a fakey troll.

simon666 - 2009-08-31

Witty Popculture... You need to use firefox's built in spell checker, because I can't read through that diatribe without it. Minor grammar issues here and there I can handle, but "realise"??? Come on now.

phalsebob - 2009-08-31

Oh, Cena.

j lzrd / swift idiot - 2009-08-31

"Artfully worded"

Broose182 - 2009-08-31

NO YOU WON'T 2010.

oddeye - 2009-08-31

"realise" is a word, as in "I realise you are a retard, simon666."

longwinded - 2009-08-31

5 stars for cena_mark fagdance

you still got it

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-09-02

I wasn't going to say anything, but damn all of my stars go to Witty Pop Culture Reference.

Bort - 2013-08-09

Update: the Republicans took the 2010 midterm elections.

Nominal - 2016-03-24

Yeah this comment thread is really sad and embarrassing to read in 2016.

And the same people are STILL saying the Republican party is imploding (smugly, from the confines of anywhere but a voting booth).

Bort - 2016-04-09

While I think it's true the Republicans are having problems holding their coalition together, that doesn't mean people of good conscience should just sit idly back and wait for the Republicans to fall apart on their own. The Republican Party may produce some terrible candidates but they also know how to drum up voters.

I've said a thousand times that the Republicans' appeal over the past fifty years has everything to do with the Civil Rights Act, and as their racism grows more and more overt, it's increasingly difficult to deny. But I think there's an obligation that comes with that, that much of the Left won't man up and accept: the Republicans need to be vigorously opposed just on principle. That means voting them out in every election, not just the ones where ObamaGirl shakes her tits at you or an adorably rumpled old man from Vermont promises he can fix everything.

cognitivedissonance - 2009-08-30

Would that it were, would that it were.

fatatty - 2009-08-30

This is why Republicans hate affirmative action. Cause they suck at it.

Senator_Unger - 2009-08-30

I am 100% behind this new secret plot to kill Republicans through government healthcare.

kingofthenothing - 2009-08-30

2 out of 5 people drop out of high school. 2 out of 5 are mentally ill. 2 out of 5 are Republican. Coincedence?

kingofthenothing - 2009-08-30

I'm just saying, if you made a Venn Diagram, there'd be some heavy overlap going on.

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-08-31

There will always be hateful and ignorant people in this country, and there will always be a Republican party to exploit them.
