Summary: old socialist can't understand why, when Democrats control everything, Americans still don't want socialism.
futurebot
it's just the opposite dumbass

smoothbrain
pretty amazing how you can twist anything to fit your distorted world view

Enjoy
what have I said that is distorted? did you watch the video? Moyers is lamenting the fact that Democrats have control but are too spineless to push socialism.

futurebot
You are pretending that Americans have somehow rejected an agenda that the Democrats are simultaneously too spineless to push. That's pretty dumb.

Rodents of Unusual Size
Weren't you raised in a cult that despised everyone in the outside world? Maybe that's why you view the simplistic media lie and equate the Democrat solution to health care as socialist.

There is no purely capitalist society anywhere on the planet, and this is because unadulterated capitalism's objectives are purely selfish. Societies must mirror the nature of man, balancing the need for altruism with the need for selfishness.

However, since I doubt you'll follow the above allow me to provide you with a capitalist rationale for universal health care: Currently Americans are unhealthy and this costs economy in lost work and money spent on health services instead of goods and commodities. By making health care affordable, preventative measures can be taken to treat issues before they become too serious, and therefore allow healthy people to not miss work.

Also, what's funny about your statement is how it rests on the label "socialist," presuming that the reader will adopt you as an authority to label "Bill Moyers" and "socialist," assume then "Bill Moyers" equals "bad." Not to mention you put "socialism" and being "American" as two mutually exclusive states of being. One's nationality and citizenship in this country are not defined by one's political beliefs, and trying to say they are is actually the antithesis to what being "American" is.

See this is why I would always score higher on an LSAT. My reading/viewing comprehension is extremely high compared to many of you. I was able to watch this video and understand it whil most of you were thinking "hate bush. blood for oil. fascism. evil republicans. hypocrits."

I'm swelled with pride right now.

Summary: Priveleged idiot can't see why it's immoral to let insurance companies deny people care based on money.

Yes. Support for healthcare reform is certainly in the minority right now.

Not that you will answer my question, but hey Enjoy, are you in favor of dumping Medicare since it's "socialist?"

Camonk
Man, don't bother. Enjoy's declared victory; he won't be back to this thread. It's his MO.

I didn't realize Enjoy had become POE's new right wing troll.
