No specifics - just a lot of fear mongering to people who won't even bother to do their own research.

Although I do wish something could have been done about the Mormon management at my last job. But now I make more than they do anyway.
Yellow Lantern - 2010-04-21
I can't help but notice they didn't say a word about what the act actually says and mandates.

Oh, also, fuck these shitheels.

Not human rights training!!!

Instant victimization, totally unconnected to reality. Its one of the most distasteful facets of the current incarnation of the American right.
Meatsack Jones - 2010-04-21
Although, considering the corporate monkeys I have dealt with in the past, their idea of human rights might make for a great video here.

splatterbabble - 2010-04-21
It's stuff like this that makes me think John Lennon was an okay dude for writing "Imagine".
Konversekid - 2010-04-21
Everything else he did was pretty 'meh' though.

tmavomodry - 2010-04-21
Human rights training?! OUTRAGEOUS!

"Nobody expects to lose their job because of their religious beliefs."

Nobody except everyone who isn't a fucking Christian, you mean.
Charles - 2010-04-21
Thank you, you saved me the trouble of having to think of something clever to post about that.

IrishWhiskey - 2010-04-21
The specific cases that drive the fear behind this video came about from Christians firing gays, Muslims, and non-believers.

I guarantee that if you were to link through similar videos, almost all of them would be themed "We're afraid minority groups will do [x] to us, because we've been told we shouldn't be doing [x] to minorities!"

Camonk - 2010-04-21
Stealing the chilling effect on speech from hate crime legislation is pretty smart. For a bunch of backwoods, cousin-fucking, googly-eyed Christian retards, am I right?

Plus I bet they don't have stop watches that measure small enough increments of time to be able to tell how fast these religious groups would appeal to hate crime legislation if any white Christian heterosexual was actually a victim of one.
KnowFuture - 2010-04-21
The pro-censorship, anti-gay rights, anti-birth control, anti-science, anti-environment group is worried about freedom being taken away.
pastorofmuppets - 2010-04-21
So, you're saying that in order to fire gay people I'll need to have documented instances of them doing something that warrants firing, and none of those instances can be "they're a godless queer"? Administrative costs will skyrocket!

pastorofmuppets - 2010-04-21
fuck not a reply. my reply to you was going to be that since they are specifically protecting an employers' jebus-given right to treat gays as subhuman, it's not really hypocritical.

KnowFuture - 2010-04-23
Oh, if they're godless queers, it shouldn't be too long before they won't be able to contain themselves from sticking something up their ass at work and THEN you'll have grounds to fire them.

paparatti - 2010-04-21
"We no longer do weddings here" Is that because you won't marry gay people? Ah, yeah, thought so. Here's a tip, stop treating other people like shit, and you won't suffer any negative consequences from society. I believe Jesus would back me up on this one if he actually existed.

Also 0:49 "Dr" Jim Garlow is the pastor of my local megachurch that cost million to build http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skyline_Church and testifed at the gay marriage trials recently. There are a lot of benefits to living in a heavily evangelical area, but the downside is massive bigotry. I choose to believe me and my husband, with our liberal attitudes and interracial marriage, counteract Garlow's bullshit.
facek - 2010-04-21
Naw, he's pretty public about his shit, I think you need to step it up and start fucking in the Megachurch Parking Lot on Sundays.

Syd Midnight - 2010-04-21
If you want to get kicked out of a megachurch, the classy way would be to dress like Jesus and go knock over stuff in the lobby lunch bar and gift shop while reciting his "What have you done to my Fathers house" rant.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-04-21
The last guy that tried that got nailed to a piece of wood. You don't fuck with religious people.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-04-21
religious people's income I meant to say

Syd Midnight - 2010-04-21
If people act like you're oppressing them when you aren't, you may as well oppress them under the "Something To Cry About" rule.
chumbucket - 2010-04-21
wait? we can't discriminate anymore?? what about our RIGHTS!!!!!!!!!?????? waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

Hooker - 2010-04-21
Thank you for participating in our advertisement. We're going to be talking to a lot of people about ENDA and splicing all those talking heads together, so try to use as many incoherent pronouns as possible.
joelkazoo - 2010-04-21
"full of crap" needs to become a linked tag.

5 for pure evil.
tamago - 2010-04-22
I like how they don't tell you a thing about how this act will end religious freedom.

I also keep thinking this is a joke or something because these people CANNOT be serious.
Caminante Nocturno - 2010-04-22
Watching the worst aspects of American culture react to their oncoming obsolescence is incredibly cathartic.
Xero - 2010-05-06
Their desperation makes me happy. Their destruction at my hands would be a dream come true, but for now I'll settle for their desperation.
woodenbandman - 2011-03-05
1 star, no white people tag.
IrishWhiskey - 2011-05-06

But there is a "missing the point" tag. See it? Right there?
