It's surprising how many thing are made form animal sex juices. rBGH and most anabolic steroids, for example, come from bull semen.

I was a big fan of Kids In The Hall from their TV days - was watching their stuff on first run, enjoyed the show (I think it's a legal requirement being from Toronto) etc.

I went with my friends to see Brain Candy. We left the theatre, looked at each other and said "yeah, that was shit" and never spoke of it again.

Should I give it another chance with older eyes? Or should I have more to drink before watching?

OxygenThief - 2010-06-09

Give it another chance. It seemed to hit all the right buttons the second time around.

snothouse - 2010-06-09

I would say it has a lot of choice "moments".

The Mothership - 2010-06-09

A common sentiment among my friends, who were also big TV KITH fans, was that Brain Candy did indeed suck on the first viewing. We grew to love the hell out of it after about the third viewing, and the 30 or so viewings after that cemented it into our everyday life; it colors many conversations to this day.

Dunk the drug.

It does get better with repeat viewing, but I still find it odd that people thought it sucked at any point. Death Comes To Town, on the other hand, was overall fairly weak, with a few good moments.

Also everyone should hunt down the workprint cut, just to see what it was originally supposed to be like. The entire second half is different.

boner - 2010-06-09

It's about as lousy as that Mr. Show movie (except this scene, I guess)

HankFinch - 2010-06-09

Halfway through production of the movie Dave Foley quit the troupe and only did his scenes because of contract obligations

cognitivedissonance - 2010-06-10

Let's be fair, Foley did exactly the same thing John Cleese did to the Pythons halfway through "The Life of Brian".

Thanks for the earnest responses. Glad I'm not the only one who got that impression the first time.

Five stars for helpful and for the nostalgia of seeing the Yonge street of my teenage years in the clip.

badideasinaction - 2010-06-15

Okay, now five stars for reals.

The Mothership - 2010-06-09

Auto 5 for Brain Candy.

James Woods - 2010-06-09

Brain Candy! Going to watch this right now. It's been forever.

Frank Rizzo - 2010-06-09

"youre not getting dollar 1, you ugly man"

this movie is so underrated. Its freaking classic.

Old_Zircon - 2010-06-09

So very, very underrated.

MacGyver Style Bomb - 2010-06-09

Whoever did the subtitles needs to work on their Spanish profanity and slang.
