I saw some of these girls interviewed for television, and one of them said something like: "It's about giving 110 per cent", which is not good math, but I think she's got a point. We're all used to seeing girls in tight outfits do gymnastic routines, but it's a little jarring to see girls moving their hips like this. Still, what would you have them do? NOT use their hips? That's not giving 110 percent!

I honestly believe that teaching children this level of commitment to a goal is going to make it far less likely that they'll make bad mistakes as young women, and there's no such thing as "dancing like a whore." You can dance sexy, but a whore is someone who has sex promiscuously, maybe for money. It's about who you fuck, why you fuck, and how many people you fuck. It's not about a style of dancing, That's like saying that someone "drives like a whore" or "plays basketball like a whore".

Anyway, if you think this in bad taste, that's legitimate, but some of this Amber Alert stuff you see on the internet is really crazy and possibly harmful.

That was just awful dancing by any measure. No coordination or symmetry, and there wasn't even a fucking mantis dance. There was some half-hearted bullshit version of a mantis dance at around 0:54, but it was just pitiful.
5 for evil, 5 out of 100 points for dancing.

I'm not completely ignorant of what people find disturbing in this, but I've watched it two more times, and... I'm surprised to say that i think that this is just wonderful.

What matters is not how we experience this, but how the children experience it. Outsiders will understandably read loose sexuality into this, but what I think I see when I look deeper is a portrayal of toughness, defiance, and feminine swagger. The songs "Single Ladies" and even "My Boyfriend's Back" are all about the defiance of women toward men who disrespected them. I think that these themes are what's going to resonate with the children, and that's what matters. These girls are not my responsibility and I don't know them, but I really would expect this kind of education to give them a leg up toward becoming strong women in control of their sexuality. I can't predict the future, but it seem at least as plausibkle as the predictions I read on youtube that "they're all going to be pregnant at 15".

I could be wrong, but this is either a sex show or it isn't . I'm not turned on by this, I assume you're not, do you think the parents are conspiring to put on a sex show for their own amusement? As far as the hypothetical pedophile is concerned, I have to believe that a supervised activity with a lot of adults and children around is a discouragement. I rarely hear of a child who is snatched out of a group.

I share the dismay at the role models that girls have, but if girls aren't going to get any wiggle room between between pretending that sexuality doesn't exist and being a slut, they're going to turn out as sluts by default.
