Somehow, despite a mountain of evidence to the contrary and billions of dollars in sales to people of all ages and social groups, this is still how videogames are portrayed in other popular media.
At this point I'm convinced it's just fear that games are going to steal some of their audience, like how network TV executives used to pretend that cable was filled with nothing but hardcore pornography and snuff films.
Actually this is a lot more accurate than a lot of videogame representations in movies. You can basically do all of those things in GTA or Saints Row minus the grenade in the mouth trick, and I'm sure that has happened or will happen in some videogame at some point.
Ok, I was two off, but games can be trite. You could have done this same bit with shirtless guidos and I would have assumed it was from Liberty City Stories.
