Speaking as a white man, if any white person of any age, social group or income bracket ever claims they don't understand why it's offensive when they use the N-word, they are using it as an excuse to use the N-word or possibly to start an unfunny stand-up routine.

I would like to agree wholeheartedly and offer up one caveat to be used sparingly: there are times when the effect of a particular choice of word or phrase in satire outweighs the offensiveness of the word or phrase. Like, the particular instance of comedic or literary illumination burns away the shadow of ignorance. In rare situations like these, the N-bomb (or any slur) should be available to anyone.

I don't know why people still call her with their problems, as though she won't blame the caller the way she always does. I guess if they're stupid enough to think her opinion or point of view is valuable, they're stupid enough to think that maybe - just maybe - her opinion won't be that it's obviously their fault.
