He hand painted that hat specifically to blend in with the color scheme of Bruce Willis' hallway. So, like, if he looked down you wouldn't be able to see his head, just a vest and mc hammer pants. Stealth.
Sadly, this led to a crippling addiction to huffing the fumes of hat-paint.

I know, it's embarrassing. I would have been 12 at the time this movie was released. I grew up in one of those really strict, ultra conservative families, proper catholic school and everything. Didn't see anything with a rating over PG until I was 13, and late night TV consisted of (I'm not making this shit up) Fox news with my dad. A lot of great movies I've discovered and caught up later in life, this is one of them it would seem. Anyway, I'm pretty everything I just mentioned is why I turned out to be such a Palin hating liberal douchebag.
