No, that's a terrible idea for politicians. By completely ignoring it, the majority of the people who heard her speech had no idea that anything happened. If she were to make an offhand comment, then the story in the mainstream media would be about the disruptor rather than whatever she's talking about.

Remember, the real audience for these speeches isn't the physical audience in front of her: it's the people watching her on television.
