There was a pond down the road from my house when I was a kid with a whole gaggle of geese that lived there. They used to hang out in the road, and every time you drove by, they would slowly shuffle out of the way, then hiss and honk at you as you passed by. One day, while riding the school bus, the driver jerked the wheel to avoid them, then there was a big *BANG* and the back wheel of the bus jumped. I looked back and there was a big white pile of feathers in the road. They were still fluttering to the ground as we crested the hill.
