pineapplejuicer the pony represents the middle class and the rider the owning class. the owning class had ridden the workers too hard and too long and merely take for granted the idea that they will just keep on trotting no matter what; they think their money is enough of an insulator that eventually they will no longer need the pony, but the stark reality is that while they maintain control of the means of production (infrastructure, machinery used in manufacturing, etc) the mode of production (actual manpower) is now and will always be in solitary control of the workers. the bitterness pursuant to class warfare blinds both sides to the fact that its is a necessary binary in which each needs to other to both define and perpetuate itself; the horse is meandering and directionless without the rider, and the rider crumples to the ground without the horse propping it up. the melting sex doll is capitalism itself, disintegrating in the very hands that wrought it in the absence of the pony. the foundation has been removed and "things fall apart, the center cannot hold" (Yeats, The Second Coming) so all is nothingness, and nothingness is all.
