Also, isn't the IJ that Koch brother's libertarian front organization? What am I supposed to think now?
aikimoe I think you're supposed to realize that it's silly to judge organizations by who one of their many donors are, instead of by the things they do.
IJ gets most of it's funding from individuals, it's as much a "Koch Bros. front organization" as the ACLU is a "socialist/atheist front organization."
longwinded "tiener mucho mucho dinero in su trucky?"
remember kids, don't carry large amounts of cash through Tennessee!
TheOtherCapnS Dude sounds like a southern Toby Radloff
oddeye It's a good idea implimented in a completely stupid way.
oddeye I think they should convert every illegal weapon they find into children's toys, then auction them off to pay for more creamer in the coffee machines.
Mother_Puncher Wow, they aren't even hiding the fact they are pulling people over to rob them and using that money for their own gain. Someone should investigate where that money goes exactly. It really doesn't seem like there is much drugs getting taken up by this so the funding for the "war on drugs" must have a low cost.
This is fucking infuriating. I live in Tennessee and I never heard of this law being passed or anything.
Nikon Check out civil asset forfeiture. Police and prosecutors can seize your car or other property, sell it and use the proceeds to fund agency budgets—all without so much as charging you with a crime.
glendower Hurrah for an awesome piece of reporting on local television news.
