Ok. So this may be helpful to peace officers, but this is also highly inflammatory. I got no love for Sovereign right-wing schmucks, but this pretty much equates any such sentiment with murderous intent, which is not particularly helpful. I feel bad saying this, am I wrong?
It is inflammatory in that they're basically creating a false dichotomy in which either you're 100% complicit, or you're a lunatic murderer.
Honestly to see nothing wrong with this kind of reasoning means you'd have to be just as ideologically fucked as Bubba and his cop killing son.
I mean recording the police means you might kill somebody?
No, that's fucking retarded, and anyone who agrees with that sort of reasoning is fucking retarded.
While I do believe that police serve a legitimate purpose within an organized, civilized society, the simple fact of the matter is that police all throughout the world can be notoriously corrupt. And all the bat shit crazy DHS-related legislation that is being passed down south makes me never want to go back again.
The Mothership: As you pointed out, this video is primarily a warning for police officers. Presumably, police departments will and do implement strategies to minimize the risk, for example insisting that suspected sovereigns stay in their car until backup can arrive; but that doesn't mean they're instructing officers to shoot on sight.
I don't trust that sovereignty a simple philosophical stance, kind of like how the "states' rights" position almost always goes hand-in-hand with sticking it to minorities. This is just a different flavor of right wing crank, and with that comes a possibility of violence. If they ever come out with bumper stickers that say "I'm a sovereign citizen but I don't like guns and I refuse to hurt anyone, I'm sure we can talk things out", I may change my mind.
Burnov: seizing on exactly one possible red flag, and not even the entire red flag (which included what I suppose is a legally-binding incantation), is missing the point.

It had never dawned on me until just now what those stupid fake plates had to do with anything. There was a dude I had seen going to the same Burger King daily in his old station wagon with a crudely painted licence plate(and I say licence plate only in the sense that the #'s were plainly visible albeit not representing anything)with some illegible nonsense where the state and county would normally be seen. It had me very puzzled and I almost asked him about it once but seeing him up close I thought better of it. Then I spied another such decal on another such rattletrap, and I was sure this was work of some very wise people with a purpose, and probably a geocities site.

Wow, so this cabal of lunatics who don't recognize the authority of the law and are willing to kill innocent people to impose their lunatic ideologies are now up against a group called Sovereign Citizens?
Good thing there's uniforms to tell them apart or this would be confusing.
Moonbats to the left of me,
Lunatics to the right of me,
Into the Valley of Death
Road the Reasonable.
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die:

Say, Interstate-40 has been commented on here before, in neighboring Tennessee.
The two cops shot in this video were doing drug interdiction when they pulled the wingnuts over.
Not everyone is a law abiding smuggler, I'm afraid.

The right wing of this country is a cancer that has gone terminal.
The doctors can't help it; the skeletal system didn't bother to vote in 2010, but the organs of the digestive tract did, and as a result cancer gained a majority in the upper abdomen and eliminated the lungs' filibuster-proof supermajority in the groin.

Likely, in most cases, be prepared to have to enter into some tangential debate when trying to write a speeding ticket.
