I love this movie, but one thing keeps pestering me. Why keep live ammo at the weapon museum?
Bhiu - 2011-06-21
I've thought about that myself. The conclusion I came to is they were going for as much authenticity as possible and it never occurred to them that anyone would actually break into the cases and USE the firearms. That's a problem with enlightened societies. They usually fuck up the little things.

Or it's just a really stupid movie.

Only 'one' thing that bothers you in a movie about a future in which Taco Bell now dominates the food industry, yet they've replaced toiler paper with seashells?

SixDigitDebt - 2011-06-22
What bothers me about that the most is the amount of theorizing on the internet that has been done on the whole three seashells thing.

Especially with the "pinch" and "scrape" techniques that have been proposed...

I'm more bothered by Wesley Snipes wearing My Buddy's overalls.

Mother_Puncher - 2011-06-22
Why doesn't he get fined one credit for violation of the verbal morality statute when he says "dman, I'm pretty good at this" when he finds out he is good at computer shit? And why was Sandra Bullock in this movie?

Mother_Puncher - 2011-06-22
Or "damn, I'm pretty good at this" for that matter? I'm sure John Spartan already knows Phoenix is pretty good at that.

Caminante Nocturno - 2011-06-23
Sandra Bullock was in this movie because she's hot.

garcet71283 - 2011-06-22
I love the roles that Wesley Snipes takes.
Caminante Nocturno - 2011-06-22
Rob Schneider AND Denis Leary are in this movie, and yet it is enjoyable.

Stallone and Schnider would meet again on the set of Judge Dredd, another movie I love.

Squeamish - 2011-06-22
It's a guilty pleasure, to be sure, even if it looks like something that was filmed for a made-for-cable movie slot.

So dumb, and yet so good.

Spit Spingola - 2011-06-22
I keep imagining somebody writing all this down on paper and thinking THIS IS GENIUS.
FABIO - 2011-06-22
Every action movie screenwriter is essentially Charlie Kaufman's idiot brother from Adaptation.

charmlessman - 2011-06-22
And I imagine that screenwriter is correct. Demolition Man IS genius!
It's genius in the opposite way Adaptation is genius.

Sometimes you want creme brulee and sometimes you want Oreos.

StanleyPain - 2011-06-22
This was an OK movie for being the typical 90s, sci-fi actioneer, but I will never get over the joke of futuristic Taco Bells being turned into "fine dining establishments" and now, here we are in the future, and Taco Bell is trying to turn all their locations into "bistro" places.

hammsangwich - 2011-06-22
I would totally transfer fluids with 90s Sandra Bullock.
Caminante Nocturno - 2011-06-23
Yes.
