I'm seriously disappoint at the console newfags for basically taking the bait on this kind of exploitative marketing hook line and sinker.
That's the only reason why the industry today thinks they can get away with this shit.
I'm genuinely interested in the game, but if I'm going to be denied certain features because I didn't fucking preorder I'm just going to pirate the game.
You know, if they wanted to create a full expansion pack and charge 15-20 bucks for it, I'd be game for that, but this alongside overpaying for stupid digital content in the form of "microtransactions" only exists because a new generation of gamers are too stupid to understand how exploitative this kind of business really is.
What's next? Game developers purposely obfuscating their code/resources so that the community can't make MODS!?!

Burnov Its not "just" a video game no more than anything that one enjoys is "just" this or that.
DLC is a whole other exploitative model as well, as is microtransactions.
It's sleazy and exploitative, and honestly, if they're going to have the balls to create this content and force me to pay incrementally to unlock it, I'm going to circumvent the process entirely.
Its not that most people can't afford being nickel and dimed, but its the principle of the thing.
Honestly only an industry such as this would customers allow themselves to be treated like a bitch to such a degree.

StanleyPain Calm the fuck down. They did this with SR2 and the codes for it were released about 5 seconds after the game came out. Also, this content is not exclusive to the pre-order only..it can be obtained in the game according to Volition, only it takes longer.
Save your outrage for EA's bullshit of wanting to make pre-order bonuses exclusive only to the people who paid for it (no one else can ever obtain them) and trying to fuck over the used games market by only allowing people with codes access to the online features otherwise paying an addition $10-15.
