Satoshi Kon was one of the best directors of his generation.

We miss you mr Kon, sucks that his last project is frozen because of lack of funds.

Satoshi Kon: the anime creator for people who don't like anime. I feel lucky I got to see Paprika in the theater.

That sounds like a pitch directed right towards my heart. I'll check it out.

A lesser man would tear up once or twice in this. Not me, though. Especially not the hospital scene with "Ode to Joy".

I gave this DVD to an anime loving boyfriend for Christmas one year since I thought he would appreciate the storytelling and visuals.

Needless to say he wasn't impressed at all. Too boring and whatnot.

I soon broke up with him a couple of months later. My only regret about the relationship is that I should've kept the DVD.
