This is horrible, and Kate Mulgrew started much stronger, but I have to wonder which would have been better after a few seasons. Mulgrew's tendency to stare at the other actors with horribly contrived puppy dog eyes like their faces were made of adorable babies had a tendency to draw your attention away from scenes.

An-al-is-is! Man, how did she get past the first line read? Mulgrew definitely was better, for what it was worth, which considering how fucking dull this series was is not saying much. But it's because she could take it when things got rough. Yeah, rough. That's how I she liked it. Because she...never...does...anything...nice! Rollin'. Rollin'. Rollin' on the river!
Sorry, Mike Nelson's Janeway is the best in show.

God, it's like she's in a different show from everyone else. She's working her way through that dialog like it's a giant pile of gravel.
Still, if she had stuck around Voyager might have been a lot more fun. At least once every other episode you'd have a scene where everyone is running around in a panic because the ship is about to explode, and Janeway would be just kind of there, barely acknowledging her surroundings.

This should would have been way better if the neurotic Barclay from TNG was a regular crew member and not just a special guest in later seasons.
Five stars for no Chakotay in this scene.

Xenocide She was nominated for Best Actress for playing Anne Boleyn back in the 70's. That's probably what was going though her mind throughout this whole shoot. She quit after the first day.
