This is the only stop-motion movie that I can think of that ends in nuclear holocaust.

Rodents of Unusual Size

This is one of those movies I've heard of but never seen and that is rare for me and anything Halloween related. It's kind of awesome for the time period and I'm surprised by the quality.

The character designs are by EC Comics/MAD Magazine artist Jack Davis, which doesn't hurt. (Fellow MAD writer Harvey Kurtzman worked on the script.)

Before changing from comic to magazine format, (so as to get around the Comics Code Authority) "Mad" focused primarily on spoofing other EC comics like "Tales from the Crypt" and classic horror monsters & tropes in general.

This movie is available on DVD for as little as a dollar and is well worth owning.

I always liked Phyllis Diller, even as a kid when I didn't get most of her jokes. I was happy to see her get a little work as a voice performer on "Robot Chicken" before the world lost her.

She was coarse but still classy. Hacks like Rosie O'Donnell and Rosanne aren't fit to shine her shoes.
