In fairness to her, her dad's probably a raging closet case just itching to throw her mom over for the Mexican landscaper.
il fiore bel
I guess that answers the question of which parent she could live without.

"Even though I'm only 11 years old"
Not everyone has the luxury of growing up with a mom and a dad, for various reasons. And unless queers cause cancer and car crashes, letting them marry probably isn't going to affect anyone else's situation.
Or ban divorce or cheating on your spouse or...just go fuck yourself you stupid 11 year old that still has a whole family!
Rodents of Unusual Size
The answer to her question as to whether which parent she doesn't need is both. They should both die and she should go to a bunch of foster couples who will treat her like shit for state money. Then she can see how loving non gay couples really are.

Some would say her parents put her up to this, but she reminds me of those goodie two shoes, straight-A, know-it-alls who think they have all the answers. Some day she'll grow up and realize how stupid she is.
No she won't. She'll grow up, she'll go to a great college, and then she'll wind up having a career as a congresswoman or a banker or a news media executive. She'll still be a goodie two-shoes, she'll still think she knows all the answers, and she'll have the power and connections to force her answers on the rest of us.
Some will some won't. Some girls like this will go to college, take a women's studies class, and change into a man hating, hippy, GUG much to her parent's chagrin.
Also kids like this were far worse in Sunday school.
A Women's Studies class would only redirect her energies into a different, but equally malignant, form of asshattery; just replace "banker" with "tenured professor" and she won't miss a step. No, whatever happens, we're doomed. Doomed!
I almost hate to ask, but... do you have any stories about those Sunday school kids?
Not really any stories, because they never really did anything cool. It was just their smug attitudes. The superiority they felt being able to look up a verse faster, or repeat verses from memory, the way they rejected excellent music for soulless CCM.
Are you implying that DC Talk is not excellent music?!?
I never had to deal with Sunday School - or church, for that matter, outside of a three week period during which my dad got sick of atheism and decided our family should try being Unitarian (it did not work out very well). I did, however, have to put up with kids similar to the ones you describe; just replace "Sunday school" with "theatre camp", "repeat verses from memory" with "recite Shakespeare", and "for soulless CCM" with "for jaunty showtunes, sung in full drag".
You grew up atheist? I'm so jealous. My parents weren't religious wierdos or anything, but losing my faith and becoming an atheist was a bitch. I have friends who had religious parents, but knew religion was bullshit before the age of 10. That would have made life easier as well.
What was your few weeks of Unitarianism like? That sounds pretty cool.
I think you guys are missing an obvious career choice. Don't forget, she could go to an ivy league school, and marry a trust funder a month after graduation. She seems like one of those "traditional roles ARE feminist" types.
I was one of those smug know it all kids, Cena. The kind of clueless douche who wouldn't second guess the accuracy of death penalty trials for a second.
And my family's loss of religion was really weird. There really was no actual spurning from a religious member or disillusionment. It was almost like the Ramones I really don't know how I lost it, but I do remember hating the absolute smugness of some Christian students in their questions against science.
I hate religion in general but I have absolutely no particular reason to hate any group.
Basically we went to church regulary, then opted out for home sessions, then just stopped completely.
Can't really remember anything other than being dirt poor.

Wow. I mean if she did write this herself it's fairly impressive. Although, it is very telling that an argument against marriage equality can be thought up by an 11 year old.
Nikon - 2013-05-12
We already have gay marriage in 11 states. If she still has her mom, then her argument is based on flawed logic.
Oh shit, it's working!
Mother_Puncher - 2013-05-12
So members of congress, religious leaders and leaders of hate organizations have the same childish and stupid logic as a smug little girl. The people making these decisions have the mentality and reasoning of someone who plays with Bratz dolls and loves Justin Beiber.
Sounds about right.

This made me a lot angrier than I expected. It's probably because I don't have both my parents in my life precisely because of this fucking ideology. I miss my dad.

Look at all those people patiently listening to a child lecture them about gay marraige.

"Which am I better off without my mom or my dad?" I'm going to say dad, you talked your mom up pretty well in the intro, I think you could use two of her.
mashedtater - 2013-05-13
this makes me really really sad.
even as a kid, i remember thanking god or the spaghetti monster or WHATEVER that i had the folks i had because 9 out of 10 of my friends had shit for parents while mine (who while making poor life choices) always supported and loved me completely all my life.
the saddest part about this isn't that anyone is asking her to be without her parents. SHES ASKING THAT an untold number of children to not have access to potential loving caring parent based on some really faulty logic. SHES ASKING THAT that untold number of children go without families because it offends her while she gets to enjoy the love of hers.
her and her parents disgust me .
true evil right here
mashedtater - 2013-05-13
you know the only good thing about this video? all the pastors who will endorse Grace and her message to later be caught having gay affairs or trying to solicit underage sex on the internet because thats the sort of thing terrible people who preach this sort of trite inevitably do

Man, these parents must actually be doing something right for this kid to be that brainwashed.
Wait until you find a group of people having responsible, honest to goodness fun that shun you, then you'll have a better reason to question your upbringing.
