Moose Cholak is my favorite.

Maurice Tillet is my favorite hideous vintage wrestler. Apparently, he was a Russian genius and noted polymath before contracting whatever disease it was that turned him into Shrek; like Asia Carrera's ogrish brother.

Killer Kowalski!

Buddy Rogers is the original "Nature Boy" isn't he?

I only knew the name from Space Ghost C2C and thought Randy Savage or one of the writers just made it up. Cool!

My dad used to watch this stuff on TV in Oregon as a kid; it was billed as "Texas Wrestling."

Figured as an Oregoner you'd appreciate that.

Cool. I used to watch PNW all the time as a kid, and I live really close to a converted movie theatre that hosts WCWC (West Coast Wrestling Connection) events now. I've yet to go to one though.

Old_Zircon - 2015-01-22

Yeah, for all of my appreciation of wrestling the closest I've been to an actual event is when I rode across town on the bus behind Tiny the Terrible last year.

Dang.. looks like I'll have to wait until at least March now; the theatre's closed for renovations (again) and for the time being they're doing it in an elementary school about 50 miles away.

Shit.. I always forget how close I live to Roddy Piper. Ironically he lives in Silicon Forest (aka Intel/Xerox central) and everything else is shopping malls. He must've left his shades on the set of They Live.

Old_Zircon - 2015-01-22

By the way, it's "Haystack" not "Haystacks."

EvilHomer - 2015-01-22

"Callin' ME a sucker, boy - You're pushing a BROOM!"

He has no compunction about diet.

I liked and read a lot about Giant Haystacks (different guy, similar fat-ass build) from William Regal's autobiography.

Never knew he had so many drug problems either, though I'm not so sure of how addictive HGH is despite seeing another documentary about it on channel 4 (I think).
