I was expecting an animal-welfare message to go with the ad for fake leather jackets.
That wasn't really a big thing back then. But tackiness was.

Even if that is a father and son relationship on display it's still totally inappropriate.
I had a fake leather jacket I bought from an op shop for $5 and I wore it out and about, and pretty soon I had a cigarette burn on each arm, I still wore it around but yeah, I guess that's one way to tell if it's leather or not.
