The 2013 compilation is still the best one, though I swear I worked a lot harder on this one. I actually rendered the Scientology video on an hour and a half loop, and kept jumping from link to link looking for sources, jumping and downloading for hours and hours, but something has changed, in ways that are sad... but not entirely sad.

It feels like there's just a lot less quirky, odd, short, insane content out there, or maybe that's just an illusion. Once I found a site that lets you play videos completely randomly choosing from all of youtube, and the first thing that you realize is that a huge majority of YT content is video game footage. It comes up again and again and again.

There must be vast underground landscapes that the algorithm conceals from us. Game videos never come up in my recommendations,and I've never seen a mukbang video, just videos ABOUT mukbang videos.

Maybe there's no one willing to get dressed up like a banana and set themselves on fire anymore. That wouldn't really be something to be sad about, unless you're some kind of monster. Maybe we're all better people, and we don't submit stuff like that anymore. That's also nothing to be sad about, unless you're some kind of monster.

However, maybe somewhere, in odd moments, I am just a little bit of a monster. The 2013 video made me feel a little nostalgic. For people setting themselves on fire? Jesus, I hope not.

But there's also been an explosion of intelligent, progressive content. Not only have I been transfixed by feature length talk videos from H Bomb. Lindsay Ellis and Contrapoints, but I've watched them over and over, and they've changed me. The internet has made me a better person, and I may not be the only one.

Of course, I just mentioned a bunch of white content creators. How about a little bit of affirmative action? Buried somewhere in these archived threads are comments by a certain John Holmes Motherfucker, objecting to the very idea of white privilege. It was not too long ago. If you know any creators of colors who do good work, please share. Mention it in the description.

Chris Chan seems to have taken down all his videos, meaning all of the ones I encountered while taking a deep dive. This clip was posted by someone else, and I wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do, but, since I am a monster sometimes, I went for it. We love you, Chris, hope you're doing well. Really!

My method was to pick something from the "People Who Liked This Video Also Liked" list, download whatever looked promising, and then click on something from THAT video's list. Maybe I should start collecting clips for a 2022 video right now.

I also learned that TFL Bill is still posting. I read that on something called the "Incel Wiki" Yeah, that's a thing. It says that he's considered the first Incel vlogger, but for such a pioneer, he has a tiny following.

I was beginning to lose hope that this would feature any of my submissions. Then I saw Pee-Wee and Jambi.
