what the hell are you talking about? "Batman" is one of the funniest shows to ever air on television. The makers were quite aware of how ridiculous it all was.

Actually, the plots for every episode came straight from the comic book.

1. They only had batman stories from before 1966 to work with. Batman wasn't dark and scary then.
