This is pure evil.

Say what you will about Canadian content laws, but we had Beachcombers and this shit never made it past the 49th parallel.
boner - 2007-10-20
I think this made it to YTV or something.

Still, I like how it spends two and a half minutes and nothing happens.

It's morning in the dullest neighborhood on Earth!
TinManic - 2007-10-20
what's you're suburban neighborhood like? hyenas and clowns chasing eachother around or something?

Xenocide - 2007-10-21
No, see, you never actually watched this show. Everyone gets along far too well, all the time. THERE'S NO CONFLICT.

And the clowns chase elephant seals, not hyenas. Everyone knows that.

TinManic - 2007-10-20
like many i bought the urban legend that he went crazy in 'Nam. it's a cooler story at least.
Rodents of Unusual Size - 2007-10-21
According to wiki he did serve in the Air National Guard during Nam, and someone with his same name died, thus lauching the rumor/false report of his demise. Also I found this:

"The original sitcom has been shown in over 80 countries in 40 languages. Mathers has noted that the Leave It to Beaver phenomenon is worldwide. "I can go anywhere in the world, and people know me," Mathers has said. "In Japan the show’s called 'The Happy Boy and His Family.' So I’ll be walking through the airport in Japan, and people will come up and say, 'Hi, Happy Boy!'"

GoneGirl - 2007-10-21
I categorically refuse to believe that this exists.
BHWW - 2007-10-21
During that mid-to-late 80's period where the local schedules were filled with lame, bargain-basement sitcoms produced for syndication, it's only natural some of theme were pathetic attempts to ride on the coattails of earlier series. A "New Monkees", a "New Gidget", this P.O.S, the Munsters Today and most depressing, the All New WKRP in Cinncinnati, which actually lasted two seasons and featured French Stewart as a shock jock called Razor D.

Thankfully, these were swept aside by cheap action adventure shows, low budget law-enforcement reenactment series and such.
Rodents of Unusual Size - 2007-10-21
Oh my God I had completely forgotten about all of those. Except the WKRP one, I didn't know that even existed. Now Im fascinated.

I vaguely remember The New Munsters.
