I would have watched it, and owned it on DVD and then whined about how it was canceled too soon. I don't know if I'd say this was a kiddie cartoon. It looks like they tried to keep the dark tone of the original show.

I've never seen the actual show. This was pretty good! She punched a dragon!

It's hard to judge what the show would have been like given that they obviously tried really hard to explain who everyone is by exaggerating their characters, but even going on the assumption that actual episodes would be less campy, the animation just didn't seem to keep up with the voice acting. Oh well. Still a gem and worth 5 stars just for finding it.

"There are things in the dark... dark things."
"And since you're making that impossible... I kinda think it's time to make you way closer to impossible."
Jesus, you'd think the diolog was written for a fifth grader or something.

Yeah, the characters are way too amped up and thus become stereotypical versions of themselves, but they could have done some neat things with this. 5 stars for the dragon punch and Giles is always awesome, even in cartoon form.

-1 star for the lost potential of more lesbian scenes.

"It'll be... you know... a thing"
I miss Firefly.

i would've watched this.
Provided they made Buffy five years younger.
And Willow six years younger.
Oh, and she would wear glasses, too!

The single most offputting and unattractive thing about me is my obsession with all things "Buffy."
I'm not being flip, it's a serious problem.

I have a knee-jerk reaction against all things Joss Whedon that prevents me from watching Firefly.
This isn't helping. Nice animation though.
