Are you me? DO NOT LIE, I WILL KNOW

Why I heart Mike Nelson.
Aelric - 2009-10-24
My long standing favorite MST3K sketch.

Nelson's sullen simpleton stare is worth at least 3 of these stars.
Squeamish - 2009-10-25
The first time I saw this, I nearly passed out from laughing. The frustration in Mike's moronic petting, the anger in Tom's voice, the fear in Crow's squealing... yes, yes, these are the hallmarks of high comedy.

Crow emotes very well for a robot

The stuff that comes before is funny, too, like TV's Frank in a bonnet and the bed and breakfast the Mads open that serves lo-main ("Some like it warm.") and soda.
For me anyway, Dr. Forrester and TV's Frank are overrated, and their part in this host segment kind of nails why. They remind me of a clown saying, "hey kids, look at these shoes, have you noticed that they are comically oversized?"
Guess they're not really equal in comedic quality to a screeching robotic llama.

part of me is sad that Mike Nelson's getting pretty steady income from Rifftrax, now I can't hire him to stand at my dining table and stare menacingly at any guests i may have over.
YOU FOLKS BRING MATCHES FOR MIKEY? comes in handy when a stranger asks you for directions and you don't feel like giving them.

I confess: I like Joel more. But Mike is clearly funnier.
athodyd - 2009-10-26
The worst Mike sketch is still more tolerable than the best Joel sketch. SCIENTIFIC FACT.

i like how these sketches usually end with frantic yelling

Sometimes I am sad because MST3K ended. But then I remember Rifftrax, and I smile and smile and smile.

I just tried to submit this three years late, this is the most accurate depiction of the American South in all media.
