Yeah it is, but I'll forgive it because Edgar Wright was still finding his style, it worked a lot better in Hot Fuzz. But mostly because every clip I've seen from Spaced is solid gold, with a deep understanding of manchildren.

Ok look i'm gonna stop being the asshole hipster commenter for a second. I will give you that you probably have not seen the show, and the lack of context in this clip maybe skewed you away from how well this works AS A WHOLE. This is a very intense moment in the show, which on the whole is usually leisurely paced.That's why it's as legendary and wonderful as it is. The editing is non-sequitor, which got copied and ruined by shit like family guy... This show simply had some of the best moments of any show ever, hands down.
