For the most part I think the promotion of Duke Nukem these days is an unwitting form of self-parody, from both a cultural and gameplay standpoint DNF isn't really all that relevant anymore.
I think most people are breathing a sigh of relief that DNF is out and we can put the series to bed... finally.
