Where it loses me---well, one of the places--is where he is succeeding in the bizarre, supernatural peril of this NES cartridge by his heroic mad gamer skillz and strategy. "I was exhausted after that drawn-out fight." Stupid.

Also, one or the other cases is true, both in enormous bad taste. Either he's fabricated the story of a personal tragedy to spice up his 'cursed-tape' scenario, or he's using a real story of personal tragedy for the same. I really hope it's the former.
