Needs a rodrigo y gabriella tag.
Mend0zA - 2015-01-26
It's not even the future yet, and my shirt fits better than his.

Space fabrics don't have to conform to your archaic notions of Euclidean geometry.

2:49, the Riker gaze.

"the producers wanted to have a smooth, unwrinkled look to the Starfleet uniforms, which put strain on Stewart's shoulders, neck and back after two seasons in a lycra costume that was one size too small"
infinite zest - 2015-01-26
I wonder if he told anyone or if he was just being passive aggressive by doing it all the time thinking they'd notice and get him a bigger size. I never noticed this before.

oddeye - 2015-01-26
He should really just wear a fucking t-shirt or something. What are they gonna do? Fire him?

oddeye - 2015-01-26
Picard that is

The just rolled with it until it became a "thing"

gravelstudios - 2015-01-27
About halfway though the series, Picard starts wearing a looser shirt with a pseudo uniform zip up jacket over it. I'm pretty sure his back was the reason why.

Raggamuffin - 2015-01-27
It became an important part of the body language for the characters. If watch closely, you'll notice that characters other than Picard tend to tug at their shirts whenever they take command of the Enterprise, or otherwise step into a situation they have to take control of.

Good catch, Raggamuffin. I like that.

I think they switched to wool after a couple of seasons.

If Wil Wheaton is to be believe, all the actors are wearing fake muscles under that thing too.

Yeah.. I noticed that too.. maybe it's like the adjusting of a tie for the future, where ties don't exist. I'd have to go and watch a whole bunch of movies, but I'm pretty sure the President does that every time right before he gives a speech and the cameras go on.

The music.

Well, let's all be happy it wasn't a wedgie.

Last night I had a dream that Patrick Stewart commissioned me to do a dubstep cover of the Star Wars Cantina, and he loved it.

He didn't tug his shirt any though.

Isn't it the fucking worst when you wake up from those dreams and remember that it wasn't real?

boner - 2015-01-27
One word: jumpsuit.
