These people are for Trump because he's anti establishment to some degree. And I do have news for you, he may have come in second to Cruz in Iowa but you better pray he is chosen for frontrunner because Cruz and his snivelly corporate dicksucking team can't stuff their pockets enough with oil and Wall Street money. So unless you want to see Pat Robertson in the Cabinet, and you want the Dems to win by a landslide, you'll hope for a Trump candidacy going through.

I don't have anything against Trump supporters, one of my best friends is voting for him. Trump is essentially a shitbag but he's a shitbag of a different color. He wants power and for people to love him, and he's manipulating the media to an insane degree, but he's also not connected to the parasitic K Street/Wall Street/House pipeline of money that most politicians are intrinsically connected to.

Trump is only running as a Republican because he knows he can't win as an independent. The Republican establishment hates him as much as the left does, which is why they threw their support behind Carson and Jeb and why they're pulling out the stops for Cruz and Rubio. Even their unofficial news outlet (Fox News) shits on him every chance they get, but they don't realize they're the ones being played. Trump has been manipulating the media since the mid '70s and he turned it into an art form in the '80s.

Actually, it looks like he hasn't endorsed anyone this time around, although back in 2011 he DID call trump "his hero" on Twitter because of the whole Obama birth certificate thing.

Cruz' showing really worries me. Trump seems like a mixed bag to me; his xenophobic anti-immigration crap is toxic, but he seems to have a bunch of positions I can stomach. Cruz, on the other hand, has pretty much a full slate of shitty positions.

Plus he's a smug, smarmy, dishonest asshat. Seriously, look at his picture. That is definitely an ass on the top of his head.

Plus I've said it before, but Trump's xenophobic toxicity wouldn't make a dent in foreign policy in the next 4 years, because nobody respects him. He'd basically be like a Vince McMahon. His underlings hate him and fans love to boo him, but that's about it. But Cruz has a lot of powerful friends in Washington, which is what really scares me.
