He's not really mocking car enthusiasts, he's mocking some of their tropes and memes that have been around for years.
He is exactly the person he appears to be making fun of. He just finished his own project car where he took a fairly straight classic Falcon and hacked it up all to shit to make some godawful hipster retro-custom muscle car.
It's not even good work. It's exactly the kind of garbage you'd expect to come out of a redneck garage in rural Pennsylvania. Good channel though.
It's tongue-in-cheek mockery of a subculture he is definitely part of and guilty of participating in the silly activities associated with it. This isn't the first time I have noticed his videos posted here with a "car people are the worst, check out out this guy taking the piss" vibe.
Almost like somebody doesn't understand. Imagine that.
The confusion at the end is based on McLaren being a name put on two very different brands; a british formula 1 racing/exotic car building brand and some dude named McLaren that tuned some bad American 80s cars for racing.
The latter being so obscure that I cant find any information on it with a cursory google search.
