I thought this was one of his better ones.
EA is fucking garbage. One giant bland game churning machine with a lot of money to throw around but absolutely no soul.
That said, a few good games to manage to eek by EA's quality-destroying QA mechanism and dead space seems to have gotten through it with maybe only an arm missing.
Which is better than the quadraplegic (sp?) mess that hellgate, 2142, etc etc came out as.

It's like he's taken Charlie Brooker's admission that heaping praise on something is boring, then got confused and thought that meant he had to complain about things even if there's really no need for complaint.
Anyway, I thought Dead Space was better than Bioshock.

"Competent, but bland" pretty much sums it up. The technical stuff is there but they just don't know the first thing about horror pacing (There's almost no early buildup. You're on the ship for one minute then wham monsters the whole time.") and the puzzle elements were tacked on by marketers.
Seriously, fuck the asteroid segment.
