Also, this guy is so ridiculously fortunate. Tail rotor must've been two meters or so away. For all the good that ducking and dodging would've done him if he was hit, going overboard mightn't be the best of ideas either, in pitching choppy seas; it looks cold as fuck too. Nice going prone on almost-cuisinart'd guy though.

From what I remember, it's a Greenpeace ship with a leased helicopter. If you do a search on the tail number (N480KP), it seems they never bothered to report the incident or obvious tail rotor damage to the FAA or the chopper owners (a leasing company). Way to go, environmental responsibility!
